Thrum Terms of Use

By using Thrum you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. Apple’s standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement also applies; if these Terms conflict with it, these Terms apply to the extent permitted.
1. The service
Thrum lets two people pair their accounts and send each other rhythms (“thrums”), heartbeats, notes and doodles, see them on home screen widgets, and answer a daily question. You need an Apple account to sign in and a partner who also uses Thrum to use most features.
2. Your account
- You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age in your country).
- You are responsible for activity on your account. Keep your device secure.
- You can unpair or delete your account at any time in Settings.
3. Acceptable use
Thrum is for people who both want to be connected. You agree not to:
- use Thrum to harass, threaten, stalk, pressure or abuse anyone;
- send illegal, hateful or sexually explicit content, or content involving minors;
- pair with someone without their agreement, or try to access another person’s account;
- spam, reverse-engineer, overload or interfere with the service.
You can report a problem with your partner in Settings → Safety. We review reports and may suspend or delete accounts that break these rules.
4. Your content
You own what you create (thrums, notes, doodles, answers). You give us a limited license to store, process and deliver it to your partner only to operate Thrum. Content is deleted when you unpair or delete your account, as described in the Privacy Policy.
5. Thrum Premium (subscriptions)
- Thrum Premium is offered as auto-renewable subscriptions: yearly (includes a 3-day free trial for new subscribers) and monthly. Prices are shown in the app before you buy and may vary by country.
- One subscription unlocks Premium for both partners while you are paired.
- Payment is charged to your Apple account at confirmation of purchase, or when the free trial ends. Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours before the period ends.
- You can manage or cancel your subscription in iPhone Settings → Apple Account → Subscriptions. Deleting the app or your Thrum account does not cancel it.
- Any unused part of a free trial is forfeited when you purchase a subscription.
- Refunds are handled by Apple under its policies.
- If you unpair, Premium bought by your former partner no longer applies to you.
6. Free features and limits
The free version includes daily limits (for example on thrums, notes and saved codes). We may change features and limits over time.
7. Availability
We work to keep Thrum running, but we don’t guarantee it will always be available, error-free, or that messages will be delivered instantly (delivery depends on your network and Apple’s notification service).
8. Disclaimer and liability
Thrum is provided “as is”. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential damages, or for loss of data or content. Nothing in these Terms limits rights you have under consumer protection laws that cannot be waived.
9. Ending
You can stop using Thrum at any time. We may suspend or end access if you break these Terms or if we stop offering the service; in that case we will try to give notice in the app.
10. Changes
We may update these Terms. If we make important changes we will tell you in the app. Continuing to use Thrum after changes means you accept them.
11. Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Turkey, without affecting mandatory consumer protection rights in your country of residence.
